Charming Deco Cameo & Date Flip Ring 1931

This ring pulls double duty, with a fun flip that was beloved in the later Deco and retro periods. The 14k white gold mount has been die-struck, a process favoured at the time for its ability to create lightweight volume and delicate filigree-like wirework while maintaining a strong and sturdy form. Within the single bezel, two variations of workhorse gemstone agate create two very different looks: on one side, carved sardonyx features a simple cameo of a woman in profile; while on the other, sleek black onyx is topped with a date plaque for 1931. A playful piece whose look easily transitions from day to night, this is a wonderful addition to any collection.

Good vintage condition with reasonable wear for age: shank is out of round and wear at rivets, bezel, and wires that stop the flip in each direction; condition does not affect wearability but is factored into price.
