Delicate Retro Diamond Wedding Band June 15 1938

An absolutely beautiful and special ring, inspired by Art Deco styles and dated with engraved initials and a wedding date in 1938. Fifteen sparkling and bright single-cut diamonds offer great finger coverage in a near half-eternity style, channel-set with the faintest milgrain adorning the setting. Sweet buckle or perhaps bow motifs rest at either end of the channel in a thoughtful addition to an otherwise minimal design. Inside, what's always a favourite find of ours: initials and a date marking the union of GDC and CHD on the 15th of June, 1938.

This ring has had some past resizing that can be determined primarily from interruptions to the interior stamps and engraving, and with one seam that's visible all the way around and some visible solder at another point (see photos). The stamp for platinum has ben interrupted with a downsizing and now reads "PLA NUM" and a resizing up is visible between "June" and "15". All of the seams remain secure now, but we do not recommend further sizing and suggest that the visible seam be checked by your jeweller every now and then as part of regular maintenance and care. The seam is not readily visible while the ring is being worn.
