An exquisite rendition of a Victorian favourite, the double snake ring. Beautifully handcrafted in warm 15k gold, the twin serpents (with the most charming matching underbites) coil around the finger and one another but have a fairly sleek and modern look, smooth gold betraying neither scales nor eyes. Snake rings soared in popularity in the 1800s when Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were engaged with one, but their use in jewelry dates back to ancient times. Representing power and passion, we love them as a gift to yourself or as a token between lovers.

Very good antique condition with reasonable wear to ruby, diamond, and gold. No visible evidence of past resizing (!), and a lovely patina throughout.
