Soft Midcentury Engraved Facet Band

I'm completely enamoured of this mid-1940s British wedding band. Carved all the way around with repeated diamond-shaped facets and engraved on each central face with a scrolled design, this ring has been well worn and definitely well loved over the years. Hallmarked for 1945 and part of the "Fidelity" line of bridal jewelry, this wedding band's sturdy 9k body reflects the era: with precious metals rationed through the war, 9k gold was far more common for wedding bands than the previously standard 22k, but this ring was considered no less precious and certainly built to last. Finished inside with a smooth comfort fit, this ring is made to be worn day in and day out and loved as deeply as ever.

Good vintage condition with a reasonable wear for age and use, with a lovely patina. Faint evidence of solder lines, but does not appear to have been sized.
