Chic Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond Band

This gorgeous, streamlined ring is the perfect balance between delicate femme Edwardian style and bold geometric Deco looks. Modelled in two-tone yellow gold and fine platinum (preferred in the Edwardian era over the all-white of Art Deco designs), with a simple design of five stones in a line, alternating sapphire and diamond, the ring nods to the later period with chic step cut rectangular sapphires (a trompe l'oeil of setting almost makes them look caliber cut), their sharp angles softened by the petal-like faceting of the old Euro diamonds. Lined with crisp milgrain and held aloft by a minimalist gallery, the ring is an early 20th century dream.

Very good antique/early vintage condition with wear in line with age and use; all stones are secure in their settings and band is thick and sturdy. Minor evidence of past resizing, and some very small chips to sapphires that are not noticeable when worn.
