A beloved Edwardian style, daisy rings were common in the early 20th century and made great use of rich yellow gold bands paired with the relatively-new white gold (or occasionally platinum). This particular bud sticks out from the bouquet with the use of a bright blue sapphire in the centre of the floret, unusual in a crisp square step cut, surrounded by old European cut diamonds with their charming quirks. The finest milgrain edges the top of the ring, enhancing the play of light across the metal and stones.
Very good near-antique condition with reasonable wear in line with age and use, including very minor nicks to stones and slight asymmetry to the cut of the sapphire (that is far less noticeable in person than in macro photography). Band is sturdy and all stones are secure. Minor evidence of past resizing.
