A gorgeous ring with a story to tell, this sparkling piece looks to us to be half of a once full eternity (circa 1920) that was cleaved in two and backed in a later plain band (likely around the 1940s or 50s). Perhaps an inherited heirloom divided between two family members? The top to the band is crafted in platinum with à jour backings and fine bead settings holding ten old diamonds, dazzling with their high crowns and broad facets. the sides of this portion bear a faint remnant of hand engraved design, softly turning like a wheat or rope inspired design. The white gold shank tapers slightly in thickness for comfort (along with rounded edges), but remains near consistent in width for easy stacking. Though we may never know what became of the mate to this ring, we love to imagine the life it led before and after it split, leading to its sparkling away in front of us as we write this listing.

Good antique-to-vintage condition with wear in line with age and use, including some wear to metal and stones (including two small chips to diamonds), and visible join lines to metal.
