Petite Tapered Band 6-26-55

A darling and unique little band, this ring was crafted as a wedding band with a small mechanical latch that hooked into the gallery of the engagement ring in order to keep them affixed together. The smooth dome of the ring creates volume despite the slim lines, and we love the way this ring looks alone or stacked (and with another ring against it, the leftover piece of latch, while not functional, becomes invisible). Inside is a little engraving from the couple in love, a quiet secret against your skin.

Very good vintage condition with moderate wear in line with age and use. Remnants of a mechanical latch that attached to an engagement ring. Worn engraving of a pair of initials that we haven't been able to make out and a date, most likely 6-26-55.
