A beautiful boat-style setting with smooth, reflective edges and ends tapered to a lovely point is set with three vivid blue sapphires, separated by a pair of warm old cut diamonds in this charming early 20th century ring. The setting has just a hint of the asymmetry that was favoured in the preceding Art Nouveau period - the swirling gallery under the stones appears to stop just short on the left, when in fact it drops down in to a curling design on each shoulder. These fine little details that emerge for the wearer after some time spent admiring the piece are just the sort of thing that has us in a swoon over antique craftsmanship. Over the past hundred years, this ring has been generously sized more than once - while it's left the shape a little left of round, we can't help but love a history of a piece that has been well loved and adapted to suit its many admirers.

Very good antique condition with reasonable wear in line with age and use. All stones are secure; evidence of past resizing, including out of round band.
