Cast from an original ring made in England c. 1930, and following in a long tradition jewels with double entendres, this ring is carved as an intaglio (with the design sunk into a level surface) and in reverse, functioning as a seal, so you can even use it to create a forward-facing impressing in wax or putty.

Signet rings date back thousands of years and though they were initially (pun intended) used, as the name would suggest, to confer the wear's signature or endorsement, the past few hundred years have seen jewelers getting a little more playful with the form. Featuring a proud cockerel above the stark word WATCH, this is a piece that will be attracting eyes from all over.
