Dramatic Vintage Fringe Necklace

For as long as people have been discovering ancient artifacts, we've been trying to emulate their styles and techniques. We can especially see this every time discoveries were made of Egyptian antiquities - Napoleon's forays into Egypt and the 1809-1826 publication of Description de l'Égypte launched inspired styles in the early Victorian era, and the 1922 discovery of King Tutankhamun spurred a bout of Egyptomania in the Art Deco period. Similarly, the 1963 release of Cleopatra reignited the public imagination, and a revival was stirred up once again in the 1980s.

These sinuous and sensual "Cleopatra-style" fringe necklaces have been a favourite in each of these design periods, beloved both for their movement and presence.
