Electrifying Antique Emerald Trilogy Ring

This absolutely exquisite ring is a complete showstopper. Delicately rendered with the finest scroll work in 18k gold and platinum, this classic trilogy catches the eye with a pair of diamonds flanking a vivid emerald, all of exceptional quality. Evenly proportioned for a beautiful presence on the ring, yellow gold prongs contrast and complement the green of the emerald while platinum prongs melt seamlessly into bright, colourless diamonds. Unusual for the stone, the emerald is faceted as a rectangular step cut, with crisp right-angled corners: emeralds' well known brittleness and propensity for chipping is the very reason their eponymous cut was developed, to remove those pesky corners. Both the designer of this ring and its about 100 years of loving owners have clearly opted to live on the edge and been rewarded handsomely for their care with this daring and dramatic look.

Very good antique condition with wear in line with age and use; all stones secure. Minor evidence of past resizing.
