One of our most beloved styles to source, we are thrilled to be able to offer this one at a steal! Big, smooth bands featuring star-set diamonds and gemstones were a favourite of the late 19th and early 20th centuries for good reason. Comfortable and low profile, but with the glamour of a broad swath of gold and shimmering stones, these unisex rings remain a favourite today. This band has every indication of dating to the 1900s or so, but a past resize lost a crucial piece of the hallmark puzzle - the date year. At the very least, we know that it's no later that the early 1960s, as it was assayed in Chester, and that office was closed in August 1962. Set with a central antique rose cut diamond, the sides are set with two blue stones: I believe the darker stone to be a natural sapphire, but the stones have not been tested an confirmed and as such have been priced as imitation stones.

Good vintage condition with moderate wear, minor evidence of past resizing (mostly in the loss of part of the hallmark), and a relatively recent polish to the band. The face has a lovely texture, and the stones are secure.
