Art Deco Opal Trilogy Ring

Crisp and vibrant, we love the unexpected addition of ethereal opals to this utterly deco ring. The favored geometric styles and precision-minded aesthetic of the era meant that opals, with their shifting, complex, and otherworldly play of colour weren't often used in high Deco designs. The ring, crafted in white gold, features geometric shapes such as octagonal settings, lozenge-shaped cut outs, and the chevron-like repeating pattern of a wheat motif. Tucked within this crisp design is the romantic symbolism of three stones - invoking past, present, and future - and the fertility and prosperity represented by the wheat pattern along the shoulders.

Good vintage condition, with moderate wear including very light crazing at the edge of one opal and some lightly visible epoxy from a past repair.

• Three round opal cabochons approximately 3.5mm diameter
• Face of ring is 6.4mm wide, 15.6mm across, with a rise of 5.5mm; back of shank has a width of 1.2mm and thickness of 1mm
• 2.9g
