Celestial Edwardian Trilogy Bypass Ring

Two small, bright white diamonds almost appear to be in orbit around their warm, glowing centre as whiplash lines anchor them to their band and the earthly realm. All three diamonds are Old European cuts, though the centre skews older and a little wonkier, with an off-round shape and a mighty chunky culet, while the side stones exhibit symmetric petal-like pavilion factets and small round culets. The difference in colour between the accent diamonds and their centre is echoed in the two-two band, with white gold-topped bezels and shoulders warmed by a yellow gold head and shank.

Obviously inspired by the curving lines and balanced asymmetry of the Art Nouveau era, and drawing on the love of incorporating the new white gold of the Edwardian and early Deco periods, this ring feels at once home in a nostalgic past and an optimistic future - a perfect symbol in an engagement ring, or for a ring marking personal achievements. The three stones have long been used to represent past, present, and future: ideal for relationships and individual milestones alike.

Very good antique condition: the bezels have all been recently reinforced to ensure a lifetime of wear; the gold has a warm patina, particularly in the recessed areas, and the band has some thinning throughout and very minor evidence of resizing. In time, the ring may need reshanking (depending on wear) to maintain its strength for generations to come.
