Cheerful Antique Ruby and Opal Ring
Cheerful Antique Ruby and Opal Ring
While opals had been known and admired since around 4000 BCE and written about effusively through the Roman empire, it wasn't until the best quality stones were found in Australia in the 1860s that they truly began to boom in popularity. Queen Victorian was a known lover of opal, and this late Victorian ring would have been as coveted when it was new as it is now. Interspaced with bright pink rubies that draw out the warm pink and orange hues that shift in the opals, this lively ring will add a wonderful pop of colour to your stack.
Very good antique condition. All stones have been checked and are secure in settings.
