A quintet of fiery old mine cut diamonds lull you into a sense of modesty in this classic c1930s band - until the light even dares to slink over them, when the sparkle simply can't be contained. With a yellow band and white gold mount, this ring would have been right on trend in seeing out the all-white styles of the Deco period, even if the diamonds themselves would have been rather old fashioned for the time. These old miners - with some of the tallest crowns we've seen! - would predate the mount by at least a generation if not a little more. This isn't uncommon for the period, and we love to think that these stones may have been inherited and repurposed for a new life - either as an anniversary gift or to mark a new marriage. The sleek shape of the sides of the band indicates it would have had a matched partner, and also means it stacks beautifully, especially with a band. With enough sparkle to serve as an engagement ring, this ring would also work beautifully as a wedding band, anniversary stacker, or all-in-one delight - just as well as it would a gift to yourself.
Very good vintage condition, all stones are secure in their settings and band is thick and sturdy.
