This absolutely breathtaking ring is a classic take on an early 20th century favourite, the boat ring, so named for the smooth marquise shape of the setting. Five stone rings with a tapered face like this were very popular in Victorian England, carrying over into the Edwardian period as well. The graduated stones create a shape with a central focal point as well as flattering finger coverage - a ring like this is a wonderful choice for an engagement ring or a wedding band - or for the efficient jewelry lover, both in one! Very good antique condition with wear in line with age and use, including minor evidence of past resizing. 

• 18k yellow gold, with partial British hallmarks for London, date stamp and maker's mark obscured
• Approximately size 6 5/8 (slightly out of round), can be resized within one size
• Five stunning graduated old European cut diamonds, approximately 0.80 carat total weight
• Face of ring measures 5.7mm wide, 17.7mm across, with a rise of 3mm; back of band measures 1.6mm wide and 1mm thick
