Early Victorian Minimalist Ouroboros "Marie"

Elegant, minimal, and so obviously well-worn and loved: this ring bears the shape of the ouroboros, the snake eating its own tail. An ancient motif symbolizing the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, and has often been interpreted as a representation of eternity and a never-ending love. Tucked inside, soft in form and crisp in execution, the simple inscription "Marie." Swoon.
Soft yellow gold with a light rosy glow and a rich patina, with some visible solder where the tail attaches to the mouth (far less noticeable from the outside than from the inside). Overall beautiful antique condition.
Details:
• About 15k rosy yellow gold, unstamped but tested
• Size 8 and can be resized down within reason but do not recommend sizing up
• 3.2mm at widest and 1mm at narrowest, band thickness varies from 0.4mm-1mm
• 1.4g
• Inside of ring is engraved "Marie"
