Elegant Art Deco Conversion Ring

This charming ring - we believe it to be a conversion from an antique stick pin - features a grid of diamonds set into bright platinum and decorated with fine milgrain detailing. We adore the way the head has been oriented with diamonds at north, east, south, and west, like a dazzling compass.

Very good vintage/antique condition with wear in line with age and use. Ring head is from Art Deco period with a later band from 1995.

• Platinum head with 18k white gold band, partly stamped and tested, with British hallmarks for the band for Sheffield 1995
• Size 5 5/8 and can be sized within 2 sizes
• Three old European cut diamonds and one transitional cut diamond, approximately 0.25 carat total weight (one has a surface-reaching fracture)
• Face of ring measures 8.7mm wide, 8.7mm across, with a rise of 2.7mm; back of band measures 2.1mm wide and 1.3mm thick
