Ethereal Victorian-Style Opal Diamond Ring

Beautiful and elegant, this Victorian-inspired ring features broad finger coverage with colour, sheen, and sparkle. At its centre is a crystal-clear opal with a very subtle play of colour, flanked by two very lively smaller opals whose own play of colour is reflected back and refracted through the larger stone. Between them lie two tapered rows of sparkling old mine cut diamonds, adding further depth and brightness both.

One of the smaller opals has a small chip at the edge (seen best in the seventh photo), and both shoulders bear marks of resizing/reshanking (best seen in the eighth photo). All the stones are secure in their settings, and have some surface wear.

• Size 9.75 and resizable by a maximum of 2 sizes
• Face is 18mm across, 9.5mm wide, with a rise of 5mm and the band measures 2.3mm wide and 1mm thick
• Three opals, measuring 6mm x 4mm, 8.5mm x 7mm, 5.5mm x 4.2mm; four old mine cut diamonds of approximately 1.75mm each, and two old mine cut diamonds of approximately 1mm each
• 3.2g
