Exquisite Personalized Opal and Diamond Ring 1869

Good god, this ring hit us HARD. A trio of utterly alive opals cradle four wonky old mine cut diamonds perfectly imperfect with tiny tables, deep crowns, and a mere suggestion of symmetry. Delicate prongs hold the seven stones low in a buttery gold band, which is ever so softly domed for comfort between the fingers - this ring feels as good as it looks. Inside, a beautifully hand engraved and perfectly legible inscription, "K.M.W. 27 July 1869." This ring was clearly treasured and babied; aside from a very minor (and when worn, hardly consequential) evidence of past resize, the ring remains in fantastic condition for its 151 years.

Very good antique condition with very moderate wear to the gold and stones. Band is sturdy and settings are secure. Very light evidence of past resizing.
