Bold and yet elegant, this unisex vintage ring strikes a perfect balance of masculine and feminine vibes. The broad width, heavy buckle, and deep patina lend the softness of the floral engraving an edge, giving the ring an overall interest and depth.

Curiously, this ring has a heavily Victorian-inspired theme, from the floral pattern to the buckle shape, despite bearing British stamps dating it to 1936. The buckle motif was well loved in Georgian and Victorian jewelry, representing eternity, fidelity, and a strength of love. Used in mourning pieces, friendship tokens, and wedding bands alike, it was a versatile symbol that also allowed for all kinds of variation in style.

Though there is some wear to the engraving on the sides of the band, the pattern remains in good, crisp shape overall for its age. The lower-karat gold currently bears a rich patina from age, though this could easily be buffed out if one preferred.
