An utterly gorgeous ring fit for an ice queen, an arctic mermaid, or your favourite March-born Pisces. Two modified pentagon shield-shaped step cut aquamarines are cinched in with a high-polish belt of white gold; and held aloft by lacy filigree-style scaffolding. Perfect deco glamour, this ring would have been die-struck in the relatively new white gold alloy in order to achieve maximum airy delicacy in the mount without compromising on strength. A small inverted heart on each shoulder complements the floral milgrained design of the gallery, while the sleek band of gold across the face enhances the crisp lines of the gemstones.

Signed for Belais, a renowned New York manufacturer of white gold jewelry - and, as one of the earliest adopters of the white gold alloy, they came to be synonymous with it in the 1920s and 1930s.

Very good vintage condition with moderate wear. It appears that at least one prong has been retipped. Slight movement to stones due to setting style, but both are secure.
