Sometimes called a "boat ring" for the smooth marquise shape of the setting, five stone rings with a tapered face like this were very popular in Victorian England, carrying over into the Edwardian period as well. The graduated stones create a shape with a central focal point as well as flattering finger coverage - a ring like this is a wonderful choice for an engagement ring or a wedding band - or for the efficient jewelry lover, both in one!
Very good antique condition with some wear in line with age and use.
