Outstanding Sapphire and Diamond Five Stone Ring

An absolute dream ring, three velvety blue sapphires and two chunky old mine cut diamonds sit nestled in rich and buttery 18k gold. Five stone rings have enjoyed popularity since the Georgian period, and boast broad finger coverage with a variety of styles and iterations. Crisp British hallmarks let us know that this ring was assayed in Birmingham in 1910, and the ring was clearly treasured over the past 109 years. The band is in beautiful condition and remains thick and sturdy; the face of the ring has slightly more wear. A few of the prongs are on the thinner side, some only barely coming over the girdles of the stones, but the beads between the stones are secure and all stones have been checked and tightened to ensure their security in their settings. The sapphires bear a few surface scratches and some abrasions along the facet junctions, but please keep in mind that our photographs are shot with a macro lens so that you can clearly see this wear in magnification. The diamonds, as is common for the period, have some visible inclusions, but are bright, vivid, and very sparkly.

• Three deep blue natural sapphires measuring approximately 3mm-4mm-3mm, approximately 0.45 carats total weight
• Two old mine cut diamonds measuring approximately 3.2mm and 3.3mm, approximately 0.20 carats total weight
• Face of ring is 6.2mm wide and 16.5mm across with a rise of 3.7mm; back of band is 2.7mm wide and 1.2mm thick
