Petite Georgian-Inspired Pearl Half Hoop
Petite Georgian-Inspired Pearl Half Hoop

A sweet little ring - most likely from about the 1930s-1940s - inspired by the beloved pearl half hoop rings of the Georgian period. Seven split pearls are set very low into crimped settings, spanning the width of the ring, with delicately fluted shoulders subtly tapering into a ribbed band. This ring was obviously loved and heavily worn through its life: some obvious work has been done, including sizing and some pearl replacements (and some with heavy wear to the nacre), but it retains so much charm that we know it still has a lot of life in it yet.
Please keep in mind that pearls are not compatible with hand sanitizers/alcohols. With closed-back stone settings like this, extreme care should be taken to avoid getting them wet.
Fair condition with visible wear in line with age and heavy use. Wear to pearls, replacement stones, visible epoxy, and past sizing all visible.
Details:
• 14k yellow gold, stamped and tested
• Size 4.25 and do not recommend resizing
• Seven split pearls, origin not tested
• Face of ring measures 3.9mm wide, 15mm across, with a rise of 1.7mm; back of band measures 1.6mm wide and 0.5mm thick
• 1g
