This smooth gold ring summons all the power of thousands of years of tradition within the history of the signet ring. Since at least 1400 BCE, signet or seal rings have been tools (serving as signature or seal) as much as they have been markers of status, and the weight and craftsmanship of a sturdy engraved piece will make you feel that immediately. 

While the ring appears to show a dexter cubit arm clenched, we suspect that the hand may have once held an object and as such the clue to which family is represented, though it's been lost to past polishing. As it is, the remaining fist connotes strength and power.

Very good antique condition with wear in line with previous use, including thinning to one side of band. c1920s. Originally manufactured in the UK. Face engraved with a fist.
