A mint condition signed Art Deco Traub Orange Blossom band in a hard-to-find size 4 - what a dream!
While the tradition of gifting orange blossoms for a wedding reaches back to Greek and Roman mythology, naturally it was Queen Victoria who reignited the craze when she wore a wreath of orange blossoms in her wedding to Prince Albert. The flower has been said to represent fertility for its association with bearing fruit, purity for its white blossoms, and eternal love for its source on an evergreen tree.
Traub was an American firm established in Detroit c.1915 that become highly sought after for their popular Orange Blossom line of wedding bands and their beautiful matched sets of engagement rings and wedding bands in the 1930s and 1940s.
Excellent vintage condition with very little signs of wear; inside stamps are clean and fully legible and exterior engraved pattern and milgrain edge are crisp and uninterrupted.
