A dreamy, romantic Edwardian ring featuring a rich, slightly pinkish ruby cradled in a halo of twinkling old cut diamonds. The belcher setting keeps the entire head of the ring low and comfortable, while the cluster of stones has a commanding presence on the finger. The negative space of the setting acts like a further ring of a petal-like scalloped form surrounding the diamonds as though the whole face is the opening of a densely packed flower,  flanked on each shoulder with intricately carved gold detailing. The depth of the stones and silky high karat gold combine for a wildly compelling look.

Good antique condition with moderate wear in line with previous use. c1904. Originally manufactured in the UK.
