Scintillating Art Deco Peruzzi Diamond Ring
Scintillating Art Deco Peruzzi Diamond Ring
This unique and stunning ring boasts classic features of the Art Deco period: white gold, engraved milgrain and orange blossom details, and vibrant calibrated coloured stones. What truly sets this ring apart, however, is the use of a Peruzzi cut diamond at its centre. Perfectly suited to the aesthetic with crisp, geometric faceting, the cut is actually a style developed in the 1700s and widely considered the first brilliant cut diamond, predating the old mine. Recognizable by its square-to-cushioned outline, a small table and deep crown and pavilion, and the distinctive "x" created by its pavilion facets, this relatively rare cut is certain to delight.
Very good vintage condition, has been partially reshanked and one natural ruby replacement, small pit at back of shank.
