Every now and then we stumble upon a ring that, if not twins with a past love, is at least a sister! Our last ruby and diamond star-set ring broke a lot of hearts when she sold, and we're delighted to offer this subtle variation - here, two juicy pink-red rubies straddle a bright old European cut diamond, each snugly set in the crisp rays of a star. The soft rise and dome of the band allows the stones to be sunk flush into the gold while maintaining an easy-to-wear low rise profile. The broad gold band, the sharp edges of engraving, the sparkle and pop of colour - everything about this ring is in perfect balance. Like the last, she's fully hallmarked with the same maker's mark, E.V. out of Chester in 1906.
Excellent antique condition with very minor evidence of resizing that has resulted in the partial loss of detail to the date letter stamp.
Details:
• 18k yellow gold, with full British hallmarks for Chester 1906, maker's mark E.V.
• Size 6.75 and can be moderately resized down but do not recommend sizing up
• One old European cut natural diamond approximately 0.07ct, two natural rubies approximately 2.5mm in diameter each
• Face of ring measures 7mm wide with a rise of 1.3mm; back of band is tapered to 2.6mm wide and 0.4mm thick
