Sweetly Scalloped Vintage French Love Token

A beautiful vintage French love token, with contrasting white gold "+" sign and softly scalloped edge. Created by Alphonse Augis and inspired by a letter poet Rosemonde Gérard wrote to her husband, the writer Edmond Rostand, the pendant features a rebus reading "+ qu'hier - que demain" for the lines,

"Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t'aime davantage,
Aujourd'hui plus qu'hier et bien moins que demain."
