Twinkling Victorian Sapphire Navette Ring

A bright and charming late 19th century ring in bright Victorian style, inspired by designs already popular for decades. The navette - French for little boat - is a style of cluster ring with a distinct elongated shape tapered at both ends. Set north-south on a band like this, the design is beloved for the finger-lengthening effect and vivid sparkle of a cluster alike.

Good antique condition with some wear in line with age and use. Please note that break in band has been repaired with past sizing addition removed since these photos were taken.

• 18k yellow gold, stamped and tested, with British hallmarks for Birmingham 1893, maker's mark lost to past sizing
• Size 5 and can be resized within two sizes
• One cushion shaped natural sapphire and ten old European cut diamonds approximately 0.20 carat total weight
• Face of ring measures 10.5mm wide, 9.5mm across, with a rise of 2.8mm; back of band measures 2mm wide and 0.7mm thick
