Unique Retro Rose Gold Diamond Solitaire

A sweet little ring inspired by the greats, and just doing its best: this warm rose gold ring features one of the most charactered diamonds we've seen. An old European cut making the most of the raw material, the pavilion features classic and symmetric faceting with a plump little culet - while the crown takes a few more liberties! A small table, typical of the cut, has been tugged off centre and sits a little shallower than most old Euros. The asymmetry of the crown, coupled with natural inclusions (mostly low relief, that is to say light in colour rather than dark spots) give the stone more of a "crushed ice" effect rather than a crisp high-contrast facet pattern. The rose gold setting is ultra-low profile, softly rising up with deeply engraved rays building into delicate prongs in a style that seems to bridge gypsy and belcher settings.

Good near-antique condition, prongs have been retipped for stone's ongoing security.
