Ooh, every now and then we get a real noodle-scratcher of a piece! This looks to two parts of antique rings that were married together at some point, and also damaged then repaired. The back of the ring is a smooth, chunky band, stamped and tested for 18k, but we'll never know if its original incarnation was a simple band ring or if it once held a unique mount of its own. It's been soldered to a 14k head that was certainly well-loved - it appears to have an Art Nouveau sensibility, but design details have been worn smooth over the decades. An inky, deep bloodstone sits slightly offset in the bezel, secured with jeweller's epoxy, and lightly flecked with the red that lends the stone its name. A curious creature, but still handsome, charming, and absolutely wearable - each of its features has been factored into its price.

Moderate vintage condition with wear throughout. Evidence of reshanking on both shoulders (band is 18k and head is 14k); stone is visibly epoxied in place and has very slight gaps in some areas (best seen in 6th photo) but secure.

Details:
• 14k yellow gold head (unstamped but tested), 18k yellow gold shank (stamped and tested)
• Size 8.75 (slightly out of round) and can be slightly resized (recommend no more than 1.5 sizes)
• One oval bloodstone slab
• Face of ring measures 13mm wide, 10mm across, with a rise of 2.2mm; back of band measures 3.3mm wide and 0.8mm thick
• 4.1g
