Vibrant Victorian Ruby and Diamond Panel Ring

Bright and lively, this antique ring features a trio of squared panels, gently tapering from the centre, each set with a small stone. In the middle, an old mine cut diamond, set slightly askew, flanked on either side with a vivid pinkish ruby. The gold surfaces perfectly balance the geometric design with soft planes and minimalist shoulders.

Good antique condition with moderate wear to gold and stones, including evidence of past resizing. The diamond has a small surface-reaching fracture on the pavilion, but it is not at risk of damage from regular wear.

• 18k yellow gold, with British hallmarks for Chester 1882 and a worn maker's mark
• Size 6.25 and can be resized down but do not recommend sizing up
• One old mine cut diamond and two rubies
• Face of ring measures 6mm wide, 14.7mm across, with a rise of 1.8mm; back of band measures 1.9mm wide and 0.4mm thick
