Warm Victorian Belcher Guard Chain

This absolutely beautiful, versatile, and highly covetable antique chain is sure to elevate any neck mess.

At 25" long, and with a single dogclip closure, this chain is the perfect length to add a split ring full of your favourite charms and talismans, and wear alone or layered with other necklaces. With a generous but not overwhelming length, you could also add your charms directly to the clip, and slip the necklace on and off over your head.

The 9k gold has developed a warm, rosy tint over the years but still reads yellow, so it would be easy to mix with any other metals you wear. The links alternate between smooth, plain loops and more detailed fluted ones, adding an extra level of interest to a simple belcher style, but is not so busy that it would take away from whatever you may pair it with.

A few of the lightweight links have come out of round over time, and there are some that have been repaired, but the chain remains in very good and absolutely wearable condition.
