Lovely and detailed, this little squirrel - modeled lifting a hard-won nut to mouth - represents hard work and preparedness, foresight and resourcefulness. While it's easy to see their playful nature as they chase one another 'round tree trunks, they balance fun with a steady collecting and storing, an eye to the future and survival.

Very good vintage condition with wear in line with previous use. c1971. Originally manufactured in the UK.
